EDITORIAL

In this issue of the Echo there seem to be even more opportunities than usual for you to get involved in your community. There are clubs and societies at the Village Hall, at Evington House, at the Youth Club and at Wycliffe United Reformed Church Rooms. Not to be missed are the two open events in Evington Park – May Day Dancing on Monday 3rd May 11am-1pm and Pentecost in the Park on Sunday 23rd May from 11.30am to 3.00pm.

Probably the biggest Evington event of the year is the Village Fete and Show on Saturday 7th August on the Village Green from 12 noon to 5pm. If you would like to help out on the day then please telephone Ben Sheriff on 241 7016.

Many thanks to the people who replied to our Echo advertisements in the last issue. Five new people will now be joining the team. This level of support is magnificent.

As with the previous issue, you will be updated about the planning application for 215 and 219 Evington Lane under the ‘Stop Press' section of our website: www.evingtonecho.co.uk.

This is wishing you all a happy Easter and Vaisakhi.

Helen
