HOLISTIC HEALTH - YOGA Yoga is the science of total health and life-style. Physical well being is essential for mental and spiritual development. No matter what your physical condition, your age, your abilities, or your disabilities, yoga uses what you already possess, recognizes the wonder of you and makes you better. Traditional yoga is holistic yoga and combines yoga postures or exercises, breathing patterns, effective relaxation, a healthy diet and positive spiritual thinking. The postures will tone up the muscles, loosen the joints and improve circulation of blood to keep the physical system healthy. Breathing exercises are for both physical and mental health. They revitalize the body, steady the emotions and create great clarity of mind. Meditation techniques help us to stop the disturbing or negative waves of thoughts, in order to understand our true nature and discover the wisdom and tranquillity that lie within. Yoga Class Come and join the class learning classical Hatha yoga. Beginners are most welcome. Come for a free trial session. For first session, bring along either non-slip yoga mat or a blanket and wear loose clothing. The class is taught by Kanu Gohil, a qualified and experienced teacher, at the St Chads Centre, 141 Coleman Road, on Tuesday evenings 7.30 – 9.00 pm.
