HARVEST AND BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY AT ST DENYS

Around this time of year churches throughout the country set one Sunday aside each year as Back to Church Sunday. The aim of this day is to invite people who may once have been churchgoers to come back to one of their local churches. This year Back to Church Sunday is on September 26th. At St Denys we are inviting people to join us to celebrate our Harvest Festival on that day. The service will be at 4pm, will last about 50 minutes and include a variety of hymns and songs, drama, prayer and various activities for children. After the service there will be a tea to which everyone is invited.

If you haven't been into St Denys recently you might like to come and see the changes we have made this year, including new chairs, a red carpet, a new position for the font and a lovely children's corner. Bring your children along to play with the lego, read the books, do a puzzle or some colouring and drawing.

We are planning to give invitations to the service to as many people as possible, but as we are a large parish it is impossible to get round to everyone. If you would like to find out more and don't receive an invitation, please ring me, Ann Bennett, on 2766740 or my fellow Churchwarden, John Rudge, on 2415605, or just come along. You will be most welcome!
