LITTER

2010 heralds the installation of new benches and dual litter bins, which are gradually replacing old worn out ones around Evington Park. It is part of a rolling programme with the aim of improving facilities and creating a smarter appearance with matching outdoor furniture.

The bins will look like the pictures here, enabling everyone to place both their litter and dog waste in the same. Each bin will have the disc on the top, advising all Park visitors of their dual status. This allows for easier removal and disposal and removes any confusion of what to put in which bins.

Litter has become a hot topic with the recent new City Warden Workforce. We would like to ask all our visitors to use this new outdoor furniture with respect and to help us by putting their litter and dog waste in them. This will reduce the time needed to litter pick the park and make it more of a pleasant place to visit for everyone.
