AN HONORARY CITIZEN'S AWARD FOR BILL SWINFORD

It gives me great pleasure to tell the readers of the Echo that Mr. Bill Swinford was presented with an Honorary Citizen's Award by the Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor Roger Blackmore. This was much deserved because of all the caring and charity work that Bill does in the village. He works tirelessly for the elderly and equally for the young people. At the moment he is in the process of sprucing up the Youth Club and he puts in many hours of voluntary effort. Not only is he committed himself, but he encourages other people to pick up a paint brush and make a difference. If you are passing the Youth Club and you see the Club doors open, do come in and take a look to see what is on offer for the young people, as we, as the management, are committed to keeping any anti-social behaviour off the streets of Evington.
