MAYFLOWER METHODIST CHURCH

We have a new minister, Rev Dr David Palmer, who has been at Wigston Magna, but is now in our area and in charge of Wesley Hall, Uppingham Road and Mayflower Methodist Churches. He is getting to know all his members and we are getting to know him.

In October we were sad to lose one of our faithful members, Horatio Wright, but the service of thanksgiving for his life was inspiring and was attended by many friends from Leicester, as well as relatives from Sierra Leone and Canada.

During October we held a series of services on the theme Circle of Creation with sessions on Rainbows, Caring for the World, Animals and Celebrating Life. Some members of the Marjorie Wise School of Dancing (which meets on our premises) took part in the Animals day, with some very life-like lionesses and lion cubs.

For information about forthcoming events, see ‘Dates for Your diary' on page 15. Echo readers are warmly invited to join us for any of the events. We wish you all a Peaceful Christmas and a healthy New Year.
