Leicester City Council have received a planning application about the two houses, 215 and 219 Evington Lane from Davidsons.  The proposal is the demolition of one house, removal of trees covered by tree preservation order and within conservation area, and four houses (3 x 5 bed, 1.4 bed (Class C3) (Amended plans).  I understand that one of the houses will be built behind the one not being demolished.   These plans can be inspected at the customer Service Centre 'B' Block New Walk Centre, which is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday and from 8.30am to 4.30pm Thrusday and Friday.

To view the plans, I found it easier to do a search for 'planning application 20090668'.  This comes up on 'google' straight away.  The website given is http://www.leicester.gov.uk/planningdatabase

The closing date for any comments is 17th February 2010.

Many local residents are concerned about this proposal and particularly about the loss of trees.
