IN THE PARK, IN THE GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS? Local people took part in this national ‘tree o'clock' event to see if the record of 635,143 trees planted in one hour could be smashed. Unfortunately it wasn't, but in one hour between 11am and 12pm on 5th December about 500,000 trees were planted nationally.
In Evington Park 40 new willow trees were planted in the play area and they will form archways that lead to a central dome. |
