Carol Singing at The Dove with Evington Churches Together 

We wish all the Echo readers a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year! The snow and ice have hampered people getting about, but Mayflower members have some good memories of events over Christmas. Some of us joined Rev Sally Martin, the Chaplain at the General Hospital, to visit and sing carols in the Dementia Unit and the Mental Health Unit. We also joined in Radio Leicester's “Sing Christmas” at The Dove, linking up with other venues all round the City.

Our Covenant Service on 3rd January  was celebrated with friends from St Philip's and Evington Road URC. The season of Lent starts with a 7pm service on Ash Wednesday, 17th February, and this year the Evington Churches Together group will hold a number of “Lent Challenges” for groups to meet in private houses, with a few more public meetings for all to get together. Posters will be displayed in the various churches.
