CARRIE ADAMS

One of our community champions is Carrie Adams (left in picture above). She has worked tirelessly to help children cross the road safely outside Linden Primary School. She went out every day over the festive period and she still continues to go out every day at busy times to monitor irresponsible parking and driving. She helps children cross safely, helps educate parents and liaises with relevant local authority staff to promote traffic calming measures. She has also given her time to help collect over 1000 signatures for a petition, which has been presented to the City Council.
Carrie knows traffic is a nightmare around many other schools as well as Linden Primary School, but she says that if things can be right at one school then good practices can be copied elsewhere.

We need more community champions like Carrie to come forward in other areas.
