A WALK AROUND EVINGTON

Discover Evington's roots on a guided walk around the village by Blue Badge Guides Virginia Wright and Diana Courtney on Wednesday June 17th at 7.30pm, meeting outside Evington Library.

To some people Evington is a suburb of modern Leicester, others know better. It was originally a Saxon settlement which developed into a thriving medieval manor, before becoming a Victorian village with royal connections. During the course of the walk we will unlock the secrets of Evington's long history, explore its rural charm and conclude with a visit inside the fascinating Evington Chapel.

Whilst pre-booking guarantees a place, it is possible to turn up and pay on the evening. The cost is £3.50 or £3.00 for concessions and advance tickets are obtainable from Leicester Tourist Information Centre, Town Hall Square, Leicester, Tel: 299 4444
