FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS AT LINDEN PRIMARY SCHOOL 1959- 60

2010 marks the 50th. Anniversary of one of Linden Primary School's major sporting achievements,
“Leicester Junior School Football Champions - Division 4, 1959-60”.

To mark the occasion and with the blessing of the present Headteacher, Zaheer Mohamed, we will have a photo shoot on the school playing field on Saturday 3rd. April 2010. The enclosed photograph, obviously taken in black and white, shows the squad from that epic season of 1959/60. With the passage of time and taking into consideration the advancement of modern technology there will inevitably still be more “grey” in the next picture that will be published in the May/June 2010 Evington Echo!!

I am sure all the players remember with great fondness Linden Primary School, particularly the football pitch, the scene of many epic and victorious performances and it is hoped all will make the date as many still live in the Leicester area.
