PLAYING FIELD BEHIND OLD CHARITY FARM

Dear Stoughton readers,

Your parish council would like you to comment on the ideas put forward about making this playing field behind Old Charity Farm into a village amenity. Earlier public meetings have suggested the following:

A wild flower area, native hedges, a pond, a community orchard, pathways, picnic area, benches, allotments and a tennis court. (The possible cost of a tennis court is between £22,000 and £28,000 + VAT.) The Parish Council propose to install litter and dog fouling bins and possibly bird boxes and relocating the ‘Stones' from Byways garden.

Please reply as soon as possible to: Peter O'Brien at 34 Gaulby Lane, June Sparrow at 45 Gaulby Lane, Ann Hollingworth at 36 Gaulby Lane, Bridget Lawden at 7 Old Charity Farm or Paul Cresswell at 28 Stoughton Lane.
