VISIT YOUR LOCAL SURESTART CHILDREN'S CENTRE

SureStart Children's Centres offer a range of services that provide a full package of support for children under five and their families. The Centres aim to bring together all services for children aged 0-5 years under one roof:

Health Services (Midwifery, Health Visiting), Family Support Services, Good Quality Early Learning and Educational Activities, a base for Childminder Network, Support for Children and Parents with special needs, effective links with Jobcentre Plus to consider training or employment.

There are two SureStart Centres covering the Goodwood and Evington area of Leicester. The Rowlatts Hill Centre (292 4500) is on Balderstone Close and the North Evington Centre 292 4556) is on Gwendolen Road.

Regular services at Rowlatts Hill and North Evington Children's Centres are:

Stay and Play Sessions, Health Visitor Drop in Clinics, Baby Massage Sessions, Toy Library, Community Book Loan Scheme, Storytelling, Baby Weaning Sessions, Playgroup (Rowlatts Hill)

There are no charges for these activities or services!

You are welcome to visit during their opening hours of 9am to 5pm. Alternatively, just go along to one of their Stay and Play sessions which have specially planned activities for babies and toddlers. It is a chance to meet with other parents or carers. Families are able to register at their nearest centre.
