ST PHILIP'S CHURCH On Saturday 13th March, at St Philip's Church, an appreciative audience enjoyed a beautifully varied programme from the visiting St Edmund Hall, Oxford, College Choir, directed by Nick Race. The Choir consisted of 14 young men and women who sang with great enthusiasm and skill, mostly for the joy of singing, but also a few of them are studying music at college. There were some brilliant solos including from Nancy Cole, with an exceptional soprano voice, and from Nick Race, who conducted the choir, playing piano. Nick also accompanied the Mothering Sunday service on the organ, and the choir led the hymns and responses.
