EVINGTON FLOWER CLUB

As you will see from the ‘Echo' photograph, Evington Flower Club started the year with a flourish, this particular arrangement being one of six produced by our demonstrator, Lesley Cole, on 25th February.

A Hogarth curve (an outline like a lazy S) was composed of orange carnations with plaited palm leaves alongside Kentia leaves and Hypericum in a tall container, as in the photograph.

As the title ‘Garage Treasures' suggests , all the containers were found in her garage and filled admirably with beautiful and unusual flowers arranged in a modern style.

The final arrangements of the bridal bouquet and matching bridesmaid's basket consisted mainly of white carnations plus white Genista worthy of the most sophisticated bride and quite superb.

This was wonderful display of flower arranging at its best and very much appreciated by our members and visitors.

Our next meetings are on 29th April and 27th May (see ‘Dates for Your Diary' on p. 15).
