THE ROWLATTS HILL NEIGHBOURHOOD HOUSING OFFICE

... is responsible for the Management of 522 properties in the Goodwood and Evington areas.

There are 136 Bungalows (designated for older persons), 213 Flats and 173 Houses. The main duties of the Rowlatts Hill Housing Office are:
* Managing tenancies – such as facilitating mutual exchanges, dealing with unlawful occupiers, signing up persons for tenancies.
* Property Management – which includes approving property alterations, managing request of drop kerbs and hard standings, etc.
* Dealing with reports anti-social behaviour and harassment through taking legal and non-legal actions and supporting victims.
* Estate Management – dealing with rubbish, graffiti, abandoned vehicles.

The above are an examples of the work undertaken by the Housing Office. Much of this work is done in partnership with other groups, organisations and departments such as the Police, Environmental Health, STAR, Highways, Leicester Anti Social Behaviour Unit.

We also work closely with the Goodwood and Evington Tenants' and Residents' Association (TARA) who provide information on things that are happening on the estate and put across the views of tenants and residents to Housing Management.

* Clarifying rights around bungalows and communal areas
* Improving paths and fencing around bungalows
* Keeping you informed of Housing matters through regular newsletter updates
* Carrying out wellbeing visits for tenants over 60 years old to help those in need to stay in their homes
