67 YEARS AT MAYFLOWER PRIMARY SCHOOL

Two valued members of staff are retiring from Mayflower Primary School after teaching careers totalling 67 years.

Mrs Lynnette Bradshaw has worked at Mayflower for 37 years.  She started in 1971, when  Mayflower was a junior school.  Lynnette has seen numerous changes in education during this time.  She has taught many children and encouraged them to reach their full potential.

Mrs Althea Bandy has taught in several schools in Leicester, including Coleman Primary and Mayflower Primary.  She has been at Mayflower for 15 years.  Althea has worked with children for whom English is an additional language.  She has taught and encouraged them to understand, read and write English.

Lynnette and Althea will be missed for their friendship, support and dedication to teaching by all the staff, parents, children and Governors of Mayflower School.  We wish them both a very happy retirement.
