VEHICLES USING SPENCEFIELD LANE

In the Echo of October 1989, Mr. W.N. Shannon reported on a survey he had undertaken on the number of vehicles using Spencefield Lane. He recorded 1949 cars and 254 Heavy Goods Vehicles. The Leicester city Council carried out a similar exercise recently. The results were 8060 cars and 479 HGVs. Interestingly there are almost 4 times more cars but less than twice as many HGVs.
