EVINGTON FLOWER CLUB

At our meeting on 30th July, Joan Bootheway gave us a demonstration entitled ‘Bring Me Sunshine', which is just what she did and a lovely sunny day to boot! Of course we started with sunflowers followed by arrangements using beautiful flowers, foliage and accessories all suggesting sunny days. Sitting in the garden, holidaying, watching sailing boats on a sparkling sea and all imaginatively interpreted.

The photograph shows that the arrangement illustrated the opulence of a cruise liner, perhaps the QE2 outgoing to the Caribbean. Using a number of Protea, Canna lilies, carnations and a huge spray of orchids, the arrangement was superb. Altogether a ‘sunshine brought' afternoon.

Our next meeting will be a workshop. September 24th will bring a flower filled demo called ‘European Cocktail'.
