A WORD FROM YOUR LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICE

Since the last edition of the Evington Echo the neighbourhood team is pleased to say that crime figures in all areas have reduced in numbers. Let's keep it up, be vigilant and ensure you keep your house and possessions secure. If you see or suspect any suspicious or criminal activity ring the police straight away to report it.

The team have been busy with speed and monitoring of traffic to encourage motorists to reduce their speed and consider the safety of other road users and pedestrians.

Our three neighbourhood priorities have recently been reviewed and from 1st August the new priorities for Evington/Goodwood are as follows:

1) Resolve issues of congregating cars, associated noise and littering on Biggin Hill Road and surrounding cul-de-sac roads.
2) Resolve issues of young people congregating within Evington Park late at night causing damage, littering and acting in a rowdy manner.
3) Resolve issues of illegal drug activity in the area of Delaware Road and surrounding roads.

Forthcoming beat surgeries;

Thursday 28th August; 6-8pm
Tuesday 30th September; 6-8pm
These will be held at Wycliffe Church, The Common, Evington.

If you are unable to make these dates and there is an issue you would like to raise, please contact PC 4542 Laura Fahy on 2222222, select mail box 4542 and leave a voicemail.
