OPENING THE BURNABY GARDENS IN EVINGTON PARK

After more than a year's planning and preparation, Park Officer, Rachael Lawton, opened the Burnaby Gardens on 5th July.  Over 200 people were entertained by the Hathern Band, followed by a guided tour of the garden led by Mick Eaton, who designed the garden.  Councillor Michael Johnson praised the work of the park staff. 

Lottery funding from “Awards for All” of £8771 was awarded to the Friends of Evington Park and Village Green. This purchased the pergola, two benches, many plants and new paving.
