EVINGTON FLOWER CLUB

The Bottom of the Garden was the theme of the May meeting with flower arranger Robin Cobb's superb displays.

One had Bill and Ben Flowerpot Men hanging from a green fence amidst pink and blue lupins, foxgloves, antirrhinums and foliage. Another featured an upturned sundial with an A line of cream and yellow roses, chrysanthemums, euphorbia and florists' leather leaves.

An artist's palette had flowers to represent paint, red carnations in the middle, orange roses and pink roses and antirrhinums at the sides. A basket held delicious smelling white lilies, pink carnations, gerberas and roses.

Lastly three containers held fairies and goblins in a magnificent display of green carnations, shaggy white chrysanthemums, and white roses with ferns and foliage to give shape and texture.

These were outstanding displays of flowers at their best.

Next month we have our annual outing and lunch with a boat trip on the Trent.
