LEICESTER CITY STORY

There is anticipation, excitement and expectation for a new season for the City football team back in the Championship League.

Leicester city proved that they have what football commentators call ‘bouncebackabilty' after being promoted back to second tier of English football after being relegated to League One for the first time in the club's history.

City were crowned champions in May after a convincing 2-0 win at Southend and their fans expressed their joy at going back up a division at the first attempt.

Leicester City fan Yusuf Kola, 28, from Evington, said: “With a few decent signings we could make a push for the playoffs but realistically I think mid table will be a good achievement. Whatever happens I don't want City to be involved in a relegation dogfight.”

City fan Vishal Dave, 30, Trent Close, said: “The league is so unpredictable you can never tell what will happen. I hope we settle in quickly and then maybe if the team is strengthened we can make a push for the play-offs.”

Supporter Yateen Patel, 28, from Evington, said: “I think that we will need to sign five or six new players to have a chance this season. If the club spends money in the right areas we shouldn't have any problems.”
