RETIRING TEACHERS

Bob Kilmister is retiring after teaching at Mayflower Primary School for 30 years.  Children taught by Bob remember him with great fondness and many seek him out to let him know how they are getting on since leaving Mayflower.  Bob is talented artist and enjoys music.  His story telling and imaginative assemblies will be missed by all, in particular his ‘bag of troubles' story has become part of Mayflower folklore.  We all wish Bob the very best in his well-earned retirement.

Lynne Sutcliffe has been a dedicated teacher at Mayflower since 1984.  Following a career break, she returned to full time teaching in KS2 and as a class teacher worked to support children with English as a second language.  Her enthusiasm for maths has encouraged many pupils to develop a love of the subject.  Lynne's high expectations and conscientious ways have encouraged her pupils to achieve well.  She will be greatly missed.
