On 20th February 2016, the local community supported this new association with hundreds people enjoying the Family Fun Day at Coleman Neighbourhood Centre.  These pictures show some of the indoor stalls.

Crowds of local people enjoyed a day out at this event organized by Coleman Evington Tenants Residents Association on 20th February where there was lots going on: A variety of stalls for food and purchases and outside a bouncy castle and other activities. Everyone enjoyed themselves and wanted to congratulate the organisers on their very first event.

Shababa Nerin from the West Indian Senior Citizens Project (WISCP) said, “This was a great event with really good opportunities to network and a good variety of stalls available. Vibrant and friendly attendees.”

Jenny from Jenny’s Cosmetics said, “This was a fantastic event with lots of people turning out and great community spirit. Organisers, keep up the great work.”

Zara from Zara’s Crafts summed up the feelings of the stall holders and attendees by saying “Well done organisers! A great effort was put into organizing this event with lots of stallholders, we’ve been impressed! Do more events!”

The chairperson for Coleman Evington Tenants and Residents Association, Jamal Abdulla said, “After months of planning and organizing, drumming support from the local residents, we were shocked to discover that there is such a great need for the association in the area. We have revived the previous association and hope the community will benefit from our efforts.   The committee have worked really hard to serve the community with this family fun day event. We would like to thank our supporters and partners – the Evington Echo, Leicester Ageing Together (LAT) with their partners Living Streets, Action on Hearing and the Papworth Trust, all our stall holders and customers and sponsors and Rowlatt’s Hill Co-op and Tesco Metro.”
