A FRESH LICK OF PAINT FOR AGE CONCERN, EVINGTON

Thanks to staff from the Department for Works and Pensions, Age Concern Day Centre at Catherine House, Evington is sparkling!

As part of their project to offer help in the community, volunteers, armed with paints and brushes, tackled the communal areas in Catherine House.

Abdul Ahmed, the Department for Works and Pensions Job Centre manager at Charles Street, said, "This has been my first opportunity to help the community and it is good to see civil servants taking time to support a worthwhile project. It will be a nice suprise for the pensioners when they see their Centre looking smart and freshly painted."
