INDIAN MUSICIANS VISIT LINDEN PRIMARY SCHOOL

On Thursday 6 November 2008, world- renowned Indian classical musicians visited Linden Primary School . The musicians held workshops for students in Year 6. These included tabla sessions in which the groups experimented with rhythm; and a bamboo flute workshop which saw the children creating notes and composing a short piece of music. Under the direction of the musicians, the children devised and performed a rhythmic composition using tabla, xylophone or steel pans. It was a great experience for all who took part.
