MAYFLOWER METHODIST CHURCH

Our 50th Anniversary celebrations culminated on December 6th and 7th with a special service conducted by the Rev Dr Eric Lott, a Christmas Tree Festival and an annual Advent Carol Service, when members of the congregation lit tea lights and decorated the church.

On the first Sunday of the month, we normally meet with the members and friends of St Philip's and Evington Road URC for worship, but this January, St Philip's are holding a special commemoration on 4th January, so we are holding our annual Covenant Service on the 11th January at Mayflower. We follow this with two weeks of Prayer for Christian Unity. On 18th January, the Evington Churches Together united service will be held in the evening, and on 25th January, the Exchange of Preachers will take place. Our preachers visit any other venue except Mayflower!

Michael and Maureen Hawksworth have returned from Nepal , after serving there for six years, and we are delighted to announce that they are coming to Mayflower on the weekend of 21st and 22nd February, to give a presentation and sale of Hosanna goods on the Saturday, and to lead our worship on the Sunday morning.
