EVINGTON LOCAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE GROUP

September 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Evington Local History and Heritage group.

We usually meet monthly at St. Denys Parish Centre and meetings start at 7.00pm.

12th September  – Research opportunities.  A discussion of possible detective work to find out more about our village, who lived here, what they were doing, their school, their church and their shops.

10th October – Jo Instone-Brewer returns to show us more of what she found in Piggy’s Hollow and where we go from there.

14th November – Cynthia Brown on  ‘Growing up in Leicester.’  Always a fascinating talk from Cynthia who has been to speak many times before.

12th December – Vince Holyoak ‘Hidden Histories – Leicester in World War 11.’  Vince provide background information about the Parachute Regiment and their leaving service.

The church car park is available for parking.

Annual Subscription £20.  Family Price £30.  Visitor per lecture £3.
