EVINGTON FLOWER CLUB BLOOMS FOR 2008

The Flower Club displayed their first flower arrangements of the year this February. Demonstrator, Sandra Meakin’s colourful ‘Wax Lyrical’ display was an interesting and imaginative series made from candles. Flowers ranged from spring tulips, daffodils and iris to exotic amaryllis, anthurium and freesias.
Unusual containers included a wicker umbrella stand and one arrangement depicted dolphins in Florida using blue anemones, gypsophila and white spray orchids.
Visitors are welcome to our next meeting ‘Passionate about Plants’ held in the Village Hall on Wed. 30th April at 2.15pm. For a very small fee, it’s a great way of relaxing with refreshments provided. The superb displays are also up for grabs in our raffle!
We also have an outing this summer to Trentham Gardens. See you there!
