WHITEHALL PRIMARY WINS 'HEALTHY' AWARD FOR SECOND TIME

On March 19th Whitehall Primary School was visited by Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor Gary Hunt, to present a plaque to celebrate the school winning the Healthy Schools Award for a second time.

During a special assembly children were given a two-minute challenge to find all the ways to stay healthy at school. The Lord Mayor then spoke about the importance of exercise, diet and enough sleep (and not too many Easter eggs!). He was amused by the whole school’s particularly lively rendition of the “Spring Chicken” song and was presented with a (healthy) basket of fruit
