HUMANIST/NON-RELIGIOUS FUNERALS

Important ceremonies such as births, marriages and deaths are traditionally marked by a form of celebration or commemoration in religious communities. An alternative ceremony is available for those who are non-religious.

Eleanor S Davidson, who lives locally, arranges and conducts humanist and non- religious funerals. These ceremonies are uniquely scripted and can include favourite music, poetry, prose, displays of photographs, paintings and mementos of the person who has died. A copy of the script is always provided following a ceremony.

The ceremony can take place at a graveside, in a cemetery, at a natural burial ground, in a crematorium, chapel, community centre, village hall or your home.

Eleanor is trained and accredited by the British Humanist Association and belongs to their national network of celebrants. She also conducts ceremonies for other occasions such as memorials, weddings, affirmations, renewal of vows and namings. Eleanor speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
