On Saturday 10th May we held a successful coffee morning which raised £432.60 for the Walsingham based charity ‘Let the Children Live!' which supports the street children of Colombia, South America.

The following day, Pentecost Sunday, was a beautiful summer day and made special by four of our children receiving their First Holy Communion. In the afternoon we welcomed the ‘Churches Together in Humberstone' for a united service of prayer and celebration, followed by light refreshments. Well over 60 people attended and we all enjoyed the music and hymn singing and look forward to our next meeting.

Each week one of our parishioners writes a summary of news items in the Catholic press and we print it on our parish website. It is an excellent service and well worth reading.

The Watermead Shop is at present stocking many items suitable as First Holy Communion and baptismal gifts. Opening hours are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 10.30am to 3.30pm, Saturday 5.00pm – 5.50pm and Sunday 11.45am – 12.45pm.
