THE BIG NATIONAL CEILIDH COMES TO ST. PHILIP'S CHURCH On Saturday, October 18th at 7.30pm there will be a ceilidh in St. Philip`s Church Hall. Music will be provided by the Greenshoots Ceilidh Orchestra and other guest musicians. There will be a full vegetarian buffet supper, or soup and rolls, and a licensed bar. The event is part of The Big National Ceilidh when thousands of people nationwide will be dancing simultaneously to the music of live bands. At 10pm all the bands will be playing the same tune (“Jamie Allen”) when as many people as possible will be dancing The Circassian Circle. Each ceilidh will be organised locally. The proceeds from all events will be donated to WaterAid. WaterAid helps to provide access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education for the world`s poorest people. It is estimated that on average every £15 saves a life. Tickets available on the door, but it will help if you reserve tickets in advance. Food is included in the ticket price (£8 for the full buffet - £5 for the soup and rolls - £5 all concessions). If you are able to contribute a dish for the evening, please e-mail harkeshfarma@hotmail.com – a reduced ticket price of £4 will be offered as a thank you!
