Radio Leicester 's Monica Winfield,

This September our guest speaker at our monthly senior parishioners lunch was Monica Winfield from LOROS and Radio Leicester. She gave us an entertaining talk on her life in radio and also spoke about the valuable work of LOROS, explaining that they need to raise £4m this year. Our Charity Support Group was pleased to present her with a cheque for £1,190.

Some of our parishioners and friends, led by Father Daley, have just returned from a successful pilgrimage to Lourdes , which is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the apparitions to St Bernadette. The shrine expects some 18 million pilgrims in this anniversary year.

As usual the opening hours of our Watermead Shop (supplying religious items and cards) are: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 10.30am to 3.30pm, Saturday 5.00pm – 5.50pm and Sunday 11.45am – 12.45pm.
