Carol Leeming, FRSA, is a multi-genre writer, singer, songwriter, performing artist and actor. Her work includes film, stage, poetry and music. Some of her poems have been featured in anthologies including “Out of Bounds” (Bloodaxe, 2014), “Over Land, Over Sea: poems for those seeking refuge” (Five Leaves, 2015) and “Welcome to Leicester” (Dahlia Publishing, 2016).

Leicester City Librarian Matthew Vaughan says, ‘Carol Leeming is an immensely talented artist who works across many genres. We are delighted that her new poetry collection, “The Declamations of Cool Eye” is also going to be featured as part of the Write On, a Leicester Writers’ Showcase.

‘We launched the Write On, a Leicester Writers’ Showcase in January 2017 with an event featuring a live poetry reading from the recently published poetry anthology, “Welcome to Leicester”.  This was followed by an event featuring short stories from “Lost and Found: stories of home by Leicestershire writers” (Dahlia Publishing, 2016). We plan for Write On, a Leicester Writers’ Showcase to become a regular fixture in the Leicester Central Library calendar.’
